Abby works in a bookstore. She's also the TouchStone (someone who can link immortal beings to the human world) to the Protectorate (a fey leader called Moira). But Moira has been missing for months and Abby is struggling to fulfill her responsibilities.
One day a mysterious incubus, Brystion, approaches her asking for the Protectorate's help to find his missing sister. Abby reluctantly agrees and this leads her down a path of danger, self-discovery and an irresistible attraction.

Based on the back cover blurb, I was expecting something on the light side, but that isn't the case. Abby is a touchstone for the Protectorate, who has been missing. She agrees to help an Incubus, who is searching for his missing sister. This leads Abby into finding new talents and lots of danger.

It's a promising series. I wish to read more. :) I hear Allison is a new author. I hope she writes fast. ;) I want more. Currently I'm in new-author-hunt-mode... I need to fill the pain that CN created due to her Hard Bitten book. :( I'm happy to say that this book has eased some of my pain. :) Just wished there were more to read. I read it too fast! Grrr.

I did it. I put aside the other multiple books I was in the middle of for the pervy unicorn book. I don't even want to know what that says about me...
3.5 - 4 stars
Allison Pang is a laugh out loud funny writer. Don't believe me? Look up an interview with her, she cracks me up :)
I love my kick-ass UF heroines as much as the next girl, but it's a refreshing change to come across a character who doesn't fit the leather-wearing-butt-kicking-mold, AND at the same time isn't TSTL. Abby is flawed, a lit ...more
