Abby Sinclair might describe herself as a mere mortal TouchStone and a TouchStone she might be, but a mere mortal? Not even close!

It’s been six months since the accident that changed Abby's life and body forever and six months since Abby signed a Contract to be a TouchStone of the Protectorate, but she had no idea what exactly she was getting herself into. Keeping to her responsibilities, she is in ch “Were dreams truly the window into the mind’s soul, or just mere instruments of processing?”

Abby Sinclair might describe herself as a mere mortal TouchStone and a TouchStone she might be, but a mere mortal? Not even close!

It’s been six months since the accident that changed Abby's life and body forever and six months since Abby signed a Contract to be a TouchStone of the Protectorate, but she had no idea what exactly she was getting herself into. Keeping to her responsibilities, she is in charge of running the Hollows, a bookstore and magical marketplace, but when the Protectorate is suspected missing and a horny unicorn suddenly lands in her care, Abby gets in way over her head. OtherWorld beings are starting to take notice and one incubus in particular has his sights set on Abby and her delicious dreams.

Abby is a quirky character with a sense of style unlike any other and a feisty attitude. She is more than capable of verbally defending herself, but her clueless nature as to the goings on in the magical world around her, is a bit frustrating. Granted there is no info-dumping by this author, which as a reader is much appreciated, but I just expected Abby herself to be a bit more prepared and aware of her surroundings. Just as well since Abby has no idea what she truly is and what it will mean for the OtherWorld.

The characters, setting, and storyline were completely engrossing due in large part to each of their mysterious qualities. I will admit to being a bit confused in the beginning until I learned to adapt to the madness. However, Ms. Pang has an enigmatic method to her story madness that I found to be thoroughly enjoyable and incredible refreshing. It kept my attention rapt to the plotline and defenseless against characters that took charge and threw me into their adventure. There is definitely nothing else out there like this story and by the end I was craving the next.

I could not finish this book I got to page 150 and finally gave up. I can seriously tell you that I have no idea what the book is about.I tried getting into the plot but the book was just so boring I found myself sleepy just reading a page. I'm sure the book is not that bad but for me the book just did'nt do it. ...more
