I'm enjoying this UF series. I particularly like the lack of a love triangle. Cady & Lon act like an actual grown up couple. They talk about things and don't hide things from each other. The magic system here is more robes & symbols high ceremonial magic than you usually find in UF, which is also interesting. And how do you not love Jupe? He's such a great kid. The one thing I didn't like was the climax depending on rescuing Jupe, just like in the first book. But that wasn't that big a deal give

It. This book is definitely a good read. I mentioned in my review of the 1st book that it was more PNR than UF. This time this book is UF. :)
