I really did like this couple. Though I'm not really a huge fan of the Midnight Breed series this was very well structured. This installment was a fresh outlook on grief and mourning, and how to cope. It doesn't matter how many times I come across similar book I'm left feeling like this example...

Midnight Awakening is the 3rd book in Adrian's Midnight Breed series. Out of the ones I've read so far, this one was my favorite.
This story brings together two characters who we've met in previous books in the series. Tegan, a Breed warrior, who is still suffering from the loss of his first mate, and Elise, who's loss of her mate and son are still fresh in her mind. Wow, Tegan is a dark brooding vampiew, one of the Breed and a GEN One at that. He has distanced himeself for everything over the 800+ years since his bloodmate's death. No need or reason to get involved until Elise...
