Quick Take: Loved it! My fave so far. The two leads were a great and compelling match. I'd recommend having read book two before jumping into the series with this book.

I'm glad to note that thus far, I've enjoyed each Midnight Breed book more than the last. Granted, I've only finished three installments now, but the direction of the trend is a very promising one. I really did like this couple. Though I'm not really a huge fan of the Midnight Breed series this was very well structured. This installment was a fresh outlook on grief and mourning, and how to cope. It doesn't matter how many times I come across similar book I'm left feeling like this example...

This is a vampire series that deals with both good and bad vamps. An alien race descended on earth years ago. Midnight Awakening is the 3rd book in Adrian's Midnight Breed series. Out of the ones I've read so far, this one was my favorite.

This story brings together two characters who we've met in previous books in the series. Tegan, a Breed warrior, who is still suffering from the loss of his first mate, and Elise, who's loss of her mate and son are still fresh in her mind.
