This is the 10th book in the series and the culmination of a big story arc. Right to the end I had thought this was the final book in the series, but there are at least 2 more in the works.

Stirling "Harvard" Chase is a warrior for the Order, on the brink of bloodlust, which is pretty poor timing as Dragos's War is imminent.

Chase goes AWOL and the Order gives up on him. But there is one redeeming feature to Chase, his determination to kill Dragos. He also has a fascination with Tavia Fairchild, e

I was actually hesitant to read this because I had let myself read some spoilers. I didn't realize that it was intended to be the last book but then I guess before she finished it she agreed to write more. This is a hard one to review without giving spoilers. So I will just say that I'm glad I read it despite the fact that I wasn't sure I was going to like where she was taking the series (remember I had spoilers). But I liked the way she basically wrapped up what I'll call it the series First Ac ...more

This book seems to divide into either you like or you hate type. Personally I found equally good and bad things in it, hence the 3.5 stars rating. Might be a bit spoiler-ish, sorry.
I have been awaiting Chase’s story for a long time and was really curious who would be paired with a borderline Bloodlust Breed. Chase being not all there because of his addiction has a hard time connecting with Tavia. Tavia, having been deceived before finds it difficult to trust naturally. It’s got all the class

4.5 * It's difficult to give a synopsis without giving away too much of the book. Let me just say that events pick up where we left off, with Chase going to jail and allowing the Order to escape to their new compound in Maine. Tavia Fairchild, assistant to a senator, is the witness to Chase's attempted murder of Dragos at the senator's party. Tavia and Chase meet up again when she identifies Chase in a line up, and things go downhill from there. But Tavia isn't what she seems to be.

Wow! What a b

Usually when you get to book 10 in a series you are starting to lose interest but with this series it just keeps getting better! So much happened in this book that I could talk about but I do not want to spoil it for anyone who is yet to read it.

Lara has really changed things up and I can't wait to see what happens now. I wasn't disappointed in Chase's story in the slightest, in fact I think this is my favourite book in the series so far.

3.5 rating. I love the series but this just seemed to lack something with the main couple. Wasn't as good as I had hoped for Chase's story. ...more
