I think this series has really improved as it has aged. If you haven't read any of it, by all means do.
That said, there are a few points that really bothered me with this book though, and they are spoilerish so stop if you didn't read it yet. Rachel say she can't love Pierce because he is too quick to use black magic, BUT Trent seems to be lookin' fine to her after he has Jonathan, who RAISED him, turned into a dog, chased and kenneled? I've been putting this review off because, while I did like this book, it couldn't compete with the awesomeness that was Black Magic Sanction and Pale Demon. On the other hand, a not as awesome Rachel Morgan novel is still streets aheads of so many other series.

Another great Rachel Morgan book! Her adventure continues with danger from every direction. This book was better than the last, in my opinion. I'm interested with how things are progressing with Trent. Rachel has had a few boyfriends that I also fell in love with, but those relationships for one reason or another never worked out.
