I was a little nervous about this one going into it. As a secondary character Phineas was sometimes portrayed as an urban African American stereotype. To be far, this series is pretty silly and he was not the only over-the-top character, the Russians were Boris Badenov-esque and the Frenchmen are of the Maurice Chevalier/Pepe LePew variety. And when this was started with Phin and his little brother getting all pimpified at Leroy's House of Class I was worried that my fears were justified. But th

The Good
Phineas & Brynley are a perfect coupling.
Has an unexpected plot twist at the end! (however unlikely it is.)
We get some long awaited back story on our two main characters.
The Bad
The lack of dr phang witty banter. He seems to have a rain cloud following him around through most of this book.
Took forever for anything to happen. The first half to third of the book I found my brain hydroplaning.
The villains were about as scary asmy a grandma. (my grandma can be mean so I don't know h

great read, a little short. Interesting twist at the end. Expected a little more humor from Phineas, but I liked the view you get in this book. This book about Phineas (vamp) and Brynley (wolf & Phil's sister). Some humor, action, a quick battle.
