Enjoyed this entry in this series. Nice to see Phineas become a real full character rather than the cartoonish comic relief.

I did get tired of the vampires constantly vaporizing everywhere. Even understanding that this is one of the things vampires in this world can do, it happened so often in this particular story that it got tiresome. Other than that it was a very enjoyable story.

I have liked Phineas since he was introduced. I originally hoped that LaToya would come to her senses and give him a chance, but really like the pairing with Bryn. I'm glad "The Love Doctor" got his own book. I don't remember much about Brynley from previous books (but then it has been a year since I read the last one). I appreciate her reasons for behaving like she was, but then her attitude was adjusted as the book progressed. I liked the "showdown" between her and her dad (and the outcome).

I thought it was weird that werewolves owned (and got along with just fine) horses. (But then they were ranchers). I enjoyed Digger and the moment bet
