A great story full of laughs, action and comic book heroes!
When Carmen finds her best friend sleeping with her fiance a half hour before the wedding she is not only shocked by this she is also stunned to find out that they are the towns resident superhero and ubervillian! Every town and city has a least one so she gets her revenge by revealing their identities.

Carmen Cole does what every self respecting girl would do when she finds her fiancé and best friend getting it on on what should be her wedding day, she gets revenge by not only outing their cheating but also revealing their secret identities as the town superhero and ubervillain! Karma Girl was like watching a full length Saturday morning cartoon; cheesy, over the top, surprising and predictable with added spandex.

Carmen Cole, reporter, on her wedding day gets a bad feeling and goes to see her fiance to find out what is bothering him. She discovers him getting busy with Carmen's best friend the bridesmaid, she also discovers he is a superhero and the friend is an ubervillain.

Karma Girl is a parody of superheroes, fun and silly but goes a little overboard into ridiculous. Our protag is a girl who rolls her eyes at the superhero cliches like putting on glasses as a disguise but is an idiot when it comes to figuring out who's who (and there are A LOT of superheroes and ubervillains to unmask here). The cluelessness dragged on just a tad too long.

Once I got over me shock of the whole superhero in tightie whities bit, I enjoyed the story. I guess I was just not aware of what it was about as I picked it up because I like the author. It was a little bit corny that way but funny and light and I enjoyed it anyway. Don't think I will read the next in the series but only because I didn't like the character it is about not any other reason. good for a chuckle. ...more
