"Good, then listen well. Because of our wounds and the sorcerer's power, the spell turned, warped as your mother and I cast it. The magic has sent you and your brothers and sister far away, as we intended, but it has also tied the four of you to the castle and begun a countdown. When this count enters its final four nights-and not before-you must all return to the island, retake the castle and kill the Blood sorcerer. If you do not, you will die and Elden will be lost. But you must wait until ...more

After each book I fall more deeply in love with the series and the new Hero and Heroine is introduced. This time we got Dayn and his lady love Reda. I have to say that it was hard for me to put down, that is why I am still awake right now when I should be sleeping. You must read all of the books from beginning to end as I am doing, so that you can understand the whole story, not just the parts. ...more

Since i started reading the series nothing much has changed they haven't really gotten anywhere It feels like I'm reading the same book just different characters.

One thing I did like was Dayn his character was complex and you got to learn new things about him and he seemed to surprise you when you least expect it. I did not like Rhea she was just blah she was boring unoriginal and she was always complaining and thinking about no one but herself.
I also did'nt like the ending it was unsatisfying a

My Thoughts: I'm torn with this book. As with the first book in the series I did not enjoy the mix of the "human world" and the realms. This did get better as the book went along and everything took place in the realms.
While I found Dayn more tolerable, I could not stand Reda through most of this book. She was very weak almost all the way through. For someone who grew up being told these fairytales from her mother, until she pas
