This is Jessica Andersen's take on the Mayan doomsday prophecy. Mages called the Nightkeepers are charged with stopping the apocalypse and allowing the demons to roam free on earth. Sometimes the stories in this series drag due to a little to much internal dialog. I like knowing what a character is feeling and thinking…just not quite this much. However, I like the stories themselves a lot so that more than makes up for the ‘drags’.
I did enjoy this although it's not my favourite of the series. I felt as if it was going round in circles a lot but that seems to be part of the course when dealing with prophecies!
