I'm very happy with this book and new series. What I'm most excited about is that Richelle Mead's new Bloodlines series stays in the same world as her Vampire Academy series. She has kept many of the same characters that played small parts in the VA series, such as Sydney the Alchemist, Adrian the Rich-boy x-boyfriend and sweet Jill also known as Jailbait. I really enjoyed it. It was a little slow in the beginning, but it eventually picked up. The characters in this book are the ones that were my favorites in the Vampire Academy series, and I am glad I got to learn more about them. There is still a lot to learn. So many unanswered questions. A great promise of an excellent journey to come.
