Good, but not great
When I started reading the book I was like,ok, its a little slow paced. Then when I got to the middle I couldn't put it down.I was left speechless with how she portrayed Dimitri.He lost a lot of his stoic character in this book, part of me was disgusted, he was not what I expected him to be. I grew bored with so many long flashes into Lissa's head. I know that it was necessary to have the flashes to move the plot along and what have you, but I grew bored with them and just wan ...more

Ok I was re-reading Blood Promise since the new one is coming out in just a matter of days and I ran across the part in chapter 23 when Dimitri and Rose are disscussing his family and how she stayed with them and he had just picked up the ring that she had been given by Mark, that his wife had infused with spirit and Dimitri was twirling it in his fingers while they were talking and he seemed genuinly interested in talking about his family and it was the only time that they hadn't talked about a

3.5/5 stars. Arrrrrrrghhh! Parts of this book were fabulous, but there was about 200 pages (out of 500) of boring storyline that I felt could have been easily cut. I kept saying to myself: GET BACK TO THE ACTION!!!!!!

I definitely need to find out what will happen now that Rose has received her stake back in the mail. I will look forward to reading the next book for that reason alone.

It was alright,it just wasnt what I anticipated it to be.It took awhile for anything to happen which is the reason it took so long to read.I am still going to continue the series and read Spirit Bound because I want to know what happens between Dimitri and Rose.
