In my opinion, Frostbite was just as good as the first book in this series.
The first thing that I loved and adored and made me sigh with relief was that there weren't too many "remember what happened in the previous book" moments. And those that did mention past events were waaay too short to bother me. That's one of the things that always scare me a little when it comes to series.

Wow, I love Richelle Mead's writing! I love the fact that all her series are different. Not only do they focus on different paranormal aspects, but the main characters have their own unique personalities. Rose from vampire academy is no exception. I love her spirit and attitude. Aftering reading the first in the series, I had to buy the second right away. It's nice to be so wrapped up in a series, I don't think I've been this "into" a series since Harry Potter or Twilight. I love the 2 books I've read so far. They are well paced and the writing is smooth. There is enough action and yet the story lines are good. The characters are well drawn and easy to feel like you know them and are interested in how they develop. The world Mead has created is very vivid and it's nice
