Am really loving this series.

The follow up to Vampire Academy was just as good, if not better than the first. I really respect and appreciate that Richelle Mead does not feel the need to censor or dumb down her writing for younger audiences. She doesn't shy away from discussing sex, but keeps it on a level that seemed very realistic and reminded me of my high school years. Excellent book! I loved getting to know the characters more and their relationships. This book made me cry which means it pulled me into it... I loved it. Can't wait to read the next one.

I can honestly say I preferred it to the first book (which I read last night). It's a YA book so there was teenage angst but I felt as if there was character development in this book and more depth. I felt for Rose in this book and I can see why so many people rave about this series. I can't say I'll read them all but I do own the next one too :)
