This is another fun outing for Jane True (and her libido). I say "fun" despite some darker elements that run throughout the series. What happens to the people who have been captured isn't shied away from, but it isn't dwelled on either. It hit the right tone for me. I'm not a fan of too much grimmness. Jane has a fun voice but her determination for justice is real. So there are lighter moments mixed in with the darker ones.

I have really enjoyed the Jane True series since I picked up the first book Tempest Rising but this book put the series in a entirely new category for me. Catapulting from being I was really hoping this book would never end and now am extremely excited to see what Peeler has in store for Jane in the fourth installment. I can't wait to see where this new Jane will go and how she will evolve even more. ...more
