I was a bit worried going into this book. For some reason, I was concerned that it would follow every other story line in the series. Meet lifemate, get colors, make them fall in love in return, battle big bad, the end. But that was not the case. I really liked how she went about this plot. She gave it an extra spin which I appreciated. I'm not sure what went wrong, but I just wasn't that into the book. It took me longer than normal to finish since I kept putting it aside to read other books. And for some reason, I was more interested in the battle scenes and the secondary characters' relationships than in the main romance.

Good story. After 20 books in the series it has become a little predictable. But there is something that draws me in about the predictability. I still love the world and cant wait to see what happens next.
