pretty good, Manolito is a good character. The story starts in Dark Celebration, but takes off in this book. Mary Ann is such a great and tough character. She is so girlie yet so strong at the same time, she thinks that with enough pepper spray anything is possible. The interaction with Solange and Jasmine was really nice, and interesting and makes you wonder/hope that their stories are completed in another book. The first of Christine Feehan's Carpathian books that I read. I really liked this one, which is why I gave it 5 stars. I also started reading all of the series because of it. Unfortunately, as I read through the other books I lost interest at a certain point because she was using the same old formula. They were all too similar. Not a way for an author to keep their readership. Plus, she used some cringe worthy descriptions over and over again, like "molten lava."
