This was the first book of the series that focused primarily on the Sanguinars, and was a little different in that we didn't have to deal with the "accept me of I'm going to die" issue that sometimes causes problems for me in the previous books. While I enjoyed watching Logan get twisted up, it seemed like a lot of the story just went from one battle to another without much "get to know you" time in between for Logan and Hope. 4 1/2*'s. Not my favorite book in the series (that was Living Nightmare), but it was still a hit! Any book that keeps me up until 2 a.m. reading is a keeper. And there were so many threads left hanging that I can't wait for Dying Wish!

Loved the book. The world that Shannon has built is a magnificent one. I enjoy the introduction of new characters and constant shifting between couples; getting glimpses of how each of their lives play out.
