Excellent book, great story and amazing characters, both the good and the evil ones... even the secondary characters were remarkable, I especially liked the gargoyle.
Great writing, I liked the pace the author maintained, usually the first book of a series is a bunch of facts and world building stuff that steals some of the attention from the main story but not in this book.
