Read this over a few weeks--working in between other books. Virgina Kanta's contribution is a lovely 4 star tale that is worth picking up the anthology for. I don't usually like the hero-as-someone-else's-love-slave trope, but it really works here. Maggie Shayne's contribution was a solid 3.5 star offering as well, enough to convince me to look at her back list. Kenyon's submission lacked conflict and really suffered as a result. Forester's story also lacked direction and felt like it would work ...more
