This is another book that I never posted a review for the first time that I read it. This is a shame since I adore this series so much. I really love the progression of the characters and their relationships with one another in this book. We get to see a little bit deeper into the characters. I also really love the plot twists and how the plot of this book ties in with the rest of the series. Clare's writing style sucks me in each and every time I pick up one of h

Acabei o 4º volume desta saga. Não adorei. Mas também não desgostei, achei inferior aos outros tres, talvez por no 3º livro termos um final para a história achei o 4º livro desnecessário. The plot of this book, such as it is, has been summarized elsewhere, so I'll skip to some quick impressions.

The Good:
-Simon's powers are interesting, and I think his curse could be good fodder for a novel.
-Simon and Jace and and Kyle have good chemistry, and I like reading scenes with the three of them together.

The Bad:
-The "plot" is a mess. The book consists of Jace and Clary angst with some elements of an interesting idea for a plot occasionally interrupting the moping and the making out.
-Jace

I had enjoyed reading the original series. So was looking forward to this next edition. But it doesn't feel a continuation of the original series. More like an after-thought. Pretty average read with a few gaping flaws. Repetitive scenes between Clary and Jace. No real progression in Simon's story. Was expecting more from his story. But it seemed to focus a lot more on Clary and Jace. Could have been better. A certain villain from the previous series didn't need to be brought back. The point of ...more

Not sure what happened! I raced through the first three books in this series and waiting (patiently) for the latest installment, but now I can't get through the first 2 chapters! Maybe I've lost interest, maybe I need to go back and read the ending of the last book, I don't know. I really want to get through this book and enjoy it though. ...more
