This second book is better than the first but I still had problems with it. I got a bit fed up of a certain character being put in jeopardy at least three times and was saved (or resurrected) each time so I never really felt that any of them were in any real danger of dying. I liked Alec and Magnus more and I'm feeling more sympathy for Clary and Jace. I had to take a peek at some spoilers to get me interested in the third book and as it is the last I will finish the series but again I will need ...more

Acabei o 2º volume, a cidade das cinzas, nao gostei tanto quanto o primeiro mas mesmo assim é um livro bom e gostei. Achei que houve partes desnecessárias, o que aconteceu ao Simon ja era previsível, pelo menos para mim, e gostei do final.
Acho que a autora quer mostrar o Valentine como um ser tão mau que acaba por tirar um pouco dessa maldade, eu pelo menos nao acreditei mto na maldade da personagem neste segundo livro.

I enjoy this series. Is it my favorite? No. Can I put it down? Yes. However, when I pick it up again I find that I'm drawn into the story and I find with each book it's picking up more and there are a lot of questions to be answered so I'll definitely be reading the next book. ...more

Another great read from Cassandra Claire!! These books have a little of every paranormal aspect in them without overloading you with to much info. And not to mention Jace is to DIE for...lol Loved it and will be reading the next one right away.

It was great. Really enjoyed the first book, but I think this was better. Great plot, loads of anx (I like anx in books). Had to pick up and the the third book whenI woke this morning.
