Bottom line is - I enjoyed this book, though not as much as the others.
It felt unnecessary and I couldn't help wondering what Stephenie's motivation for writing this was. We know the story and I think enough insight into Edward's character can be gained through the original telling from Bella's perspective - there seemed to be virtually nothing new to add, let alone any surprises.

oh Edward, you creepy stalker you. This honestly made me lean a little towards Team Jacob because when reading Twilight you can't really see how selfish Edward really is towards Bella. I'm still Team Edward becasue as least Edward whines in a foreign country surroned by rats missing Bella, Jacob just whines all the time. Then he still tries to get in Bella's pants even after she says she's not interested, is going to become a vampire, says she's in love with Edward, is in fact getting married to

Loved this version. This gave so much more insight into Edward and his family. Less emphasis on Bella, but that isn't such a bad thing.
