5+ stars - Vampire Romance/Young Adult
This could be the very best of the entire series. I am wishing, and hoping, and praying that Ms. Meyer will do right by her loyal Twilight series fans (and Edward) and finish his story.

I told myself that I wasn't going to read this - not until it was finished and properly published. But seeing as no-one know when that will be I finally caved. I'm glad I did.
I had one frustration, Edward constantly referring to Bella as "the girl". It seemed so wrong and I had to keep pushing the other books out of my head. Had to keep telling myself "he doesn't know her yet", but it was better when he finally started to refer to her as Bella.
Fascinating to see the conversations from his side - ...more

I loved reading Edwards version of what happened in Twilight. The first 12 chapters where amazing and it left me wanting so much more. I really hope she finishes this.

The series gets 5 stars only because it was the one who brought me back into the world of books with a vengeance. It's a good series, don't get me wrong, but it's not a 5 star one for me, not anymore.
I rarely change my original rating of a series, though, since it was rated the way it was the first time for a reason - maybe because it was exactly what I wanted to read at the time, or because it made me think, or a few dozen other reasons, so 5 stars it is. ...more

Thankfully, Meyer posted this so that her fans could view the story from a much different perspective. I truly enjoyed that which I read, I just wish there was more. It also answered a lot of questions that I had (even though I didn't know I had some of them) about what was happening and why. Edward's perspective created much more depth to the story that I wish was in the first Twilight book. Please finish it!

I started off liking this draft as it told the story from a new perspective. It ended up just being Twilight told from Edward's point of view. While it was refreshing at first, it ended up being more of the same old stuff.
