I was a little sceptical about reading this book - because I didn't see how Stephanie Meyer could possibly go from vampire/werewolve state to alien state.
Although there were a lot of similararities in 'The Host' to the Twilight series flow and moods, she was successful in weaving a new story away from Bella/Edward/Jacob.

I love this book! This is the second time I have read it and still love every bit of it. There are parts that are not my favorites, but I love Melanie's attitude. I am not huge on Wanda, but Melanie is in the book enough and puts enough of an impact on Wanda that I love the character.
