This book felt disjointed. There's a bit about Edward and Bella in the beginning, most of the book is about Bella and Jacob's friendship and the fact Jacob has become a werewolf. Then the ending is Bella and Edward again. I like Jacob much more than Edward. There's something about him. Okay I like werewolves a lot and I'm partial to the name Jacob also. ...more
I ended up picking this book up at the bookstore and not waiting for the library copy to become available to me - I'm like no. 52 or even more on the hold list. This series is very much in demand.
The beginning of the book was slow and full of so much teenage angst that I wasn't sure if I was going to like th book and continue to read it, but I did - I really can't almost put down a book once I've started, I've got to at least skim it until the end. The pace is much slower than Twilight, but it picks up at the end. I will have to finish the series, but after having sped through Twilight and New Moon, I'll be taking a short breather and then diving back in to finish the last two books.
I must say, it's nice to read two full books in a series and not come across a sex scene. ...more
