This book is crap. Seriously the whole series is. The series is anit-feminist, encourages stalking and pedophilia, and controlling behavior. The love in this series is even more unrealistic as a disney movie. It's ruining the minds of modern girls who already bombard by negative images in the media. The whole story basically goes " Your pretty. No Your pretty and smell good. Ok. Lets be boyfriend and girlfriend". *Bella and Edward goes frolicking through the woods singing lalalala*. >o<

Finished it in half a week... pretty slow compared to the usual 2 days it takes me (though that's usually the weekend).
I saw the movie before reading it, so I kinda regret that because they are pretty much the same except for a few scenes that the movie doesn't have...
And it's mushier that I though it would be... why, oh why, did Bella's character have to be tomboy girly? (if that's possible... really, if you take away the part where she's a little antisocial you'd get a girly girl.)

I know this is meant to be for teenage gals - but I loved this book. I think because I love magic realism so much - and this falls within that category. I can't wait to read the 2nd book.

I'd say 3.5 Stars.
