Shame, shame, and hot meat pies.

There’s a scene in A Dance with Dragons that harmonizes declarations of disgrace with the strident cries of a food peddler hawking his suspect meats.

It makes for a neat summary of this volume.

Holy crap. Man, do I love this series. A review is pretty impossible, because there is just so much to talk about, but basically anything I write will be spoilers for those who haven't started this series yet, or even those who have read the series, but just haven't gotten to this book yet.

Boy oh boy, what a book this was! I already knew about Jon's death and Cersei's walk of shame because of the media fervor surrounding those two events, but I was largely in the dark about all the other plot lines and I'm glad I was. Warning! MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD

This book was a mixed bag for me. Partly because the long wait probably made me hyper critical, and also because I think that one of my favorite characters is dead. And also because things I wanted to happen did and....you get my drift.
