I'm finally going to admit to myself that I'm giving up on this book. I started reading it at the end of September 2011 and I'm still not even halfway through so it really is time.
I enjoyed the first book. Looking back on it, maybe not so much that it deserved a 5 star rating but I'll leave that there for now. But this book was incredibly boring. I'm a bit disappointed in this one. I knew I shouldn't have watched the show until I had finished all of the books. Now I'm just very perturbed by the miscasting. The only thing is that Robb is 15 at the very beginning of the series not freaking 21. Same about Theon and Jon. Anyhow enough bitching about the show.

Excellent character development and plot twists. Martin does not spare even one's favourite characters from heartache, which adds to the believability of this incredible story. Many mind = blown moments. Also, I love the Reed siblings. And Tyrion Lannister. Always Tyrion Lannister.
