I think this qualifies as a "cozy" mystery. I love this series. I love listening to the inner dialog of Maggie O'Neal. It was a fun mystery with a little romance on the side. Marcus is the perfect boyfriend. I enjoy Madelyn Alt's storytelling :) ...more

I just finished. hmmm A bit of a slow starter, but speeds up quickly. I love the main character, Maggie. The way the author defines her and her thoughts is quite entertaining. I have loved this series from the first and look forward to more soon!

I figured out who the killer was but didn't know their secret. It's one I never would have guessed! I enjoyed this for being a cozy mystery. And I like the fact that Maggie and Marcus are getting closer and closer. I just wish there was some paranormal in it. Besides a spell that Maggie was going to do to find a home but never did do. ...more
