The song at the end brought this down to 2-stars. Yikes but this was bad.
Carla takes a plane in the year 2014 and crashes 50 years later, where the world is completely different. Not only did humans decide to annihilate each other in a nuclear war, but also an asteroid fell on Earth, so women are scarce. Back up a moment...so nuclear war + asteriod = no women? How does that make any sense? The birth ratio of boys to girls born in this world is pretty much 50/50 so if boys are born in this new wo ...more

*round of applause* More! More! Where's the sequel? Damn. There isn't one yet. I'm a little disappointed. I was all ready to do business with that horrible "one-click" button.
We have Carla, a rising musician catapulted 50 years (via a plane crash) into a post-apocalyptic future where women are so scarce they're looked upon with curiosity and lust everywhere they go. Women stealers are everywhere and rape is a near certainty if they walk around unprotected.
In the aftermath of the crash, Carla an ...more

Love this debut novella about dystopian time travel and werewolves, sorry, men who transform into wolves, not werewolves.
Carla jumps on a plane in 2014 and when it crashes its 2064. The world as we know it is gone, nuclear bombs, asteriods, and most of the women have died of a mysterious illness. Therefore any new women who turn up are precious and cannot be left to roam around without a husband.
This is Taye Wolfe's world and as soon as he sees Carla he knows she is his mate. This is their story ...more

I just love bitchy and self-entitled heroines who can't figure out their head from a hole in the ground. Carla is up there with the best of the best. Doesn't matter that she's stuck in a post-apocalyptic future, where women are a scarce commodity and her new wolf pack who has adopted her are catering to her every need. She must, absolutely must, impose her 20th century values and mores on these people. Why cook and provide for the people who are providing for you? Why participate in survival? We
