I actually finished this yesterday, but, wasn't able to get on the computer so I had to mark it finished today...Really, I would give this 4 1/2 stars it was really very good with an ending that was all cliffhanger setting us up for the next installment "Green-Eyed Demon," due out next year...Which for me is way to long:(

Granted as I began this second book in the series, my expectations were very high...I didn't even think that I would like the first book and ended up loving it. Unfortunately in my experience with reading series sometimes the follow up books tend to not be as good as the first one or visa versa the first one is meh and the others are way better...But, as I've already stated this was really good, but, I would like to see Sabina open up her heart a bit more in book three...I'm not the author so I do not know if how she had envisioned her heroine was this tough as nails assassin with no conscience, a harden heart from the years she has lived in a sense feeling cursed because she was a half-breed and I guess developing no conscious over time due to her line of work which was basically just killing people...

Granted Sabina went through a lot in this book, finally trying to merge with her mage side of the family, meeting her twin sister, and finding out so much more about where she really came from, yet struggling to hold onto her vampire side...This book was refreshing in the sense that, being a person who reads a lot of vampire books, the formula can get old to me...I like that the author took a new spin to the whole vampire thing by adding in mages and fairies...I love that...Because I like reading about other supernatual beings besides just vamps and werewolves...

It's a great read, even though I did the audio book...And it definately begs you to finish it once you've started...And for me as someone who will easily stop reading a book if it's not keeping my interest, that says a lot...can't wait for the next one and highly recommend this series to anyone who loves the supernatural, some kink, engaging characters, some action, and fans of dark fiction... ...more

I like these characters. This one Sabina heads to NY with Adam & Giguhl, there she finds a new set of rules and people to deal with. She has a run in with some werewolfs and meets a old associate, neither under good circumstances, and she meets her sister. Trouble does seem to follow her. Giguhl finds something to do and someone to love. Surprise ending, and sort of sad. Good twists in this one.

Wow this second book is way better than the first. :) Fast read though. The characters are more interesting. Sad though Adam isn't around here so much.

Definitely reading the next book. The ending is sort of cliffhanging. :( Must get hold of the next book. ...more
