While not quite as engaging as the previous installments it still held my attention long past the time I should have gone to bed.
What Worked: I liked the introduction of demons and the Aedh beings in this book. Although we didn't get a whole lot of information about either it was nice to see something other than weres, shifters, vampires and lab creatures. I'm not sure how I feel about this one, I think it was a vast improvemnet over #3 in terms of storyline - we get to see more of Riley's developing talents and personal growth, learn more about Quinn, and are introduced to another facet of Arthurs supernatural world.
Some of the imagery in Dangerous Games is pretty skin crawlingly explicit, tipping into the horror genre for me. I think perhaps that is why I can't say it was a great read.

While this was good, it wasn't as good as the first 3 books. It felt like it was tying up loos ends from the first three books.
The book was darker and didn't havve as much substance. Just a story to facilitate getting rid of the final threat from Riley's life up to that point. I hope the next book is the start of a new problem/adventure surrounding her. ...more
