Chloe Neill said to trust her about the ending of Hard Bitten. Every fan was floored (and many justly pissed off) when Ethan died. And she promised it would be OK. Within the first couple chapters of Drink Deep, Merit is having dreams with Ethan in them. They feel real. They also happen to be nightmares where he’s torn away from her in some cataclysmic event. This happens a few times in the book. Not often enough to ever feel like Ethan is a ...more

Another amazing addition to the Chicagoland Vampires series. The ending was great. I cannot wait until the next book

2.5 stars
This was almost a complete waste of a book. Outside of the last couple chapters, this was a snooze-fest. To be fair, I haven't been much into UF, so it could partly be me.
Merit and Cadogen house have to deal with the loss of Ethan, something strange is going on with the elements, and the GP receiver is a PitA. Merit finds herself working together with Jonah to solve the latest drama, but he ain't no replacement for Ethan. And the Mallory story line probably isn't winning over any fans. ...more

I'm behind in this series and not opposed to spoilers so I'll just say that I wasn't in the same boat as the people who were waiting on pins and needles for it to be published after the events of the previous book. It's difficult to review this one without series spoilers. So I'll just say that I continue to enjoy Merit and her adventures in the Chicago supernatural world. I have to admit that I kind of guessed who was behind the big events in this one, but I was wrong about the reasons. Well, a

I'm very conflicted about this book. I couldn't wait for this book, I liked the book, I'm glad the author wrote a solid book but did I love it? No. I might be one of the few who applauded the the ending of the last book. I like it when authors take a chance, do something unexpected, keep me on my toes. Drink Deep seem to cheapen that bold move. Drink Deep was predictable, slightly boring, and not as fun.

Well after the shocking ending of the previous book, this one takes things even further than you would expect and it is nice to see a series going outside the norm. Crazy things are happening in Chicago and Merit and Jonah need to find out who is responsible as the vampires are being blamed by the humans. Plus Merit has to deal with the GP representative making extremely stupid rules for the house. The end brings some really good news and some really bad news for Merit personally.
