This is a prequel to the Soul Screamers series that you can get as a free ebook. And frankly it should be free. The only reason I will read book one is because it has high ratings with a fairly large # of readers. Enough for an avid reader to give it a try (especially starting with the 'try a sample for free' button on the kindle app.

I liked this prequel to the Soul Screamers series. It gives a good insight into the main charater's personality and what the basis of the series is about. Although not necessary to read before reading the first book, (since this is more of a short story) it is definitely advisable.

Interesting start to series. If I hadn't previously read author, I don't think I would have been that interested in continuing. Will give series a shot as I liked the "werecats" series
