This novella is about Kaylee's "panic attack" that landed her in the mental ward of the hospital. I really enjoyed this story. It provided a lot of insight into why Kaylee reacts the way she does when she does not feel she is in control of herself or is about to lose that control. I was also intrigued by Lydia and hope that she shows up again in this series. I read this after having already read three books in this series and was still able to find it interesting and insightful.

An interesting beginning to the Soul Screamers series. I really felt the fear of being perceived as crazy. Vincent really instilled a sense of claustrophobia in the hospital, being there and being sane as Kaylee was would send anyone over the edge. I was really curious as to what happened to Lydia and how she was able to do what she did. I guess we will never know.

I liked this novella, and I'm glad I read it before I started the series. It's a good introduction to the characters, and it's very well written and well paced.

It's a short pre-quel it's okay. The story has potential.

Very short, but it's an interesting premise... I'll give the next book a try.
