Ok, so after I finished the Magnus Pack series, I decided to check out Shelly’s backlist and lo and behold she has a current series set in the same world! I freaked out, then I relaxed and bought all the books available hehe
I was a bit reluctant about this series, because even though it is set in the same world, the characters I LOVED from The Magnus Pack Series, were nowhere to be seen and I though that the brillian ...more

2.5* rounded up
This is actually 2 stories (Christmas Pride and Shaw's Tail). Rating is the average for both.
Christmas Pride- 2*
Mace and Dez were BFFs when they were kids. Then she moved. Mace went on to the military and is now out and starting his own business with a military friend (Smitty). Dez also had a military stint and is now a detective. Fast forward 20 years and they reconnect after a Pride member's murder Dez happens to be investigating.

Like I said, I loved it.
For me, it is the wit. I thought it was all about the female bond thing in Mangus pack that made the funnies so.... funny. But, she can do it with any characters. In this book she gives them such hysterical comebacks and histories- the pack is so close they love to taunt, tease and jibe each other. That is the p ...more

4.5 Not quite 5 stars. This's definitely sexy & funny book. If you like shifters, you'll like this series. There were 2 stories in one book. I like Christmas Pride but I loved Shaw's Tale. I loved all of the characters. But Ronnie Lee Reed was my girl. This book was definitely a good start of a fun series.

Great book!
I really enjoyed this new Series by Shelly Laurenston, since I loved the Magnus Pack trilogy I had great expectations for this one and I was not dissapointed.
The characters are great and there were many many sexy, steamy scenes...
I can't wait for the next one! ...more
