So I don't tend to read much zombie fiction, that is mainly because the few I have attempted were less then amazing, or heck less less then amazing. Zombies per-say was never an area of the supernatural I was ever drawn towards. I was more of a vampire kinda gal, but this zombie book is unlike any I have actually read.
There was more then just killing zombies in this novel. It wasn't just about a fight for survival it's about relationships, relationships between family, friends. Right and wrong. ...more

I have read some great zombie books this year. Sadly, this one fell short by a few marks.
- The first part of the book was long and preachy. I mean, loooong and preachy about zombie's being human and mebbe having feelings and the real bad guys are the humans and why can't we all get along anyway? I was ready to pummel Tom Imura over the head with his katana.

Penny's review says it all for me and I just can't continue at the prospect of reading anymore about "erosion artists" and zombie hunter trading cards. I tried, though.

Love this book! This may be my favorite zombie book!! I LOVE Tom Imura! Okay, I'll try to calm down now and write my review.
I hear great things about the audiobook too, so maybe I'll listen to the series down the road a bit.
Likes:
* Love the katana
* Deadly Japanese guy, ♥ Tom Imura ♥
* Nobility and moral code in a broken world
* Bro code ~ no dating Nix
