Varen and Isobel are paired together for a class project. On the surface the two are about as opposite as two people can be. She’s a cheerleader and he’s a goth. He’s studious and she’s not. Varen, therefore, chooses the topic for their report - Poe.

As the project progresses Isobel finds herself drawn to Varen. She, however, is not the only one with eyes for Varen, and then there is her boyfriend whom she’s realizing isn’t the guys she thought he was.

I've read so many good books this year, it's hard to pick the best one. But this one is easiest the WORST book I have read in a long time. Most of it takes place in high school. The guy in the Fedora in the dreams reminds me of Nightmare on Elmstreet. It tries to be an homage to Edgar Allen Poe. On the good side, the author is great at describing things. ...more

I enjoyed this book. Some of the characters got on my last nerve but overall I liked it. I am very grateful I'm far out of high school and all that nonsense. But for the characters that got on my last nerve there were others I just loved. This wasn't my typical read but if there is a sequel I'm in! ...more

Amazing book. Good character development. But it has some problems. If someone can help me by explaining, Id be glad. One...what was Lilith trying to do? was she trying to get out or was she trying to get Varen stuck in Weir? If she was trying to get out, then why is she fine with the fact that Varen is now stuck with her?
