Janet and Nash fall into a sinkhole in the desert that is inhabited by creatures with skeletal hands. Mick rescues them but not before Janet is touched by one of the hands. Mick is the only one able to cure her. Mick returns to the hole to investigate. He returns slightly changed. The magic mirror is screaming and tells Janet that Mick is not what he seems.

4.5 *s This was my favorite of the series yet. It's certainly the most emotional. And I stayed up well past my bedtime to finish it. Janet is battling to save her own life, Mick's life and their relationship. She's running against a deadline and to top it all off, she's often fighting against the man she loves. I don't want to give too much away but it becomes clear pretty early on that Mick is not himself. And the only thing scarier than Mick not being himself is the being powerful enough to ma

I'm not going to give this book a star rating because I was completely distracted by the thought I either read this book or read a book that was very familiar. I looked through my kindle archive and I haven't read it before. The book was ok and it was well written.
