Wow, this book ends with quite the cliff hanger... Had I realized this, I might have waited to read this book until August, as that's when the third book is supposed to come out. The cliff hanger is insanely mean!

This second book in the Hunger Games series was a disappointment. Some of the character and writing flaws that I was able to forgive in the first book (due to nice pacing and great action) stuck out like sore thumbs in this one. I was annoyed that we revisit the Hunger Games in much the same way as the first book, and Katniss seemed overly dense for such a capable and smart girl. I also found the Gale v.
