*sigh* I fiished Hunger Games at 3am and told myself I would read up to ch.3 of Catching Fire just to see the ending of the first book filled out, by 4am i was on pg. 151. I decided I really was going to read this book later so I finished a library book earlier today but alas, came back to this one. I just can't put this series down! The second book in the trilogy did not disappoint. It wasn't better than the first book but still a great book.

The characters came to life even more in Catching Fire. You start to realize how things happen without your permission or a decision on your part that have incredible impact on the lives of those you love. What initially seem like small choices matter a great deal. Enemies are friends and friends are enemies. Katniss struggles to maintain her assigned role afraid of what it will ultimately cost. I was absolutely mesmerized while reading this book. I got pulled in from page 1 and could hardly put it down. Suzanne Collins is so good at stirring emotions, I had to actually stop reading after part 2 of the book to let everything sink in. I wondered what plot twists she could have in store after the first book, but never imagined this. This is turning out to be one of my all-time favourite trilogies.
