The sequel of the extremely popular The Hunger Games, Catching Fire continues the story of Katniss and Peeta, two teenagers that try to survive in a world ruled by those in the Capitol.

When they both won the Hunger Games, they defied the Capitol, and they're going to have to pay for that. Neither them or their families are safe. I stopped reading this book about halfway in, not sure if I wanted to continue, and I was thinking it was because it wasn't as good as the first, but that's not really the case.

For me, it was the most emotional of the three because of a few key scenes. It's the only book where I actually shed some tears. It was difficult to read because it's just so darn depressing.

This was pretty much a filler book in that nothing much was going on for more than half of the book. Had the love triangle been more interesting/convincing, the filler parts might have been less obvious. Too bad the "love triangle" is written completely for the sake of having one rather than really putting in effort to create necessary dynamics/tension in order to make it believable. I ate the first half of the book up! For some reason most of the second half dragged except for like the last 50ish pages or so? The ending though, gawwwwwww must read Mockingjay ASAP!
