Diane ~Firefly~
Mackenzie has been on the run from a crazy stalker and ends up bartending in Louisiana. Her boss hires PI, Jackson to make sure Kenzie is ok. This ends up being her introduction to the supernatural world and her stalker turns out to be more scary than she had thought.

I like all the characters you meet so I'm glad to see this series continues. I think the way the community treats Seers is a bit over the top though and I really feel sorry for Michelle.

I picked up a few of Moira Rogers' first-in-series free for Kindle and this is one of them. The blurb sounded interesting and I'd read a few good reviews, so I decided to go ahead and give this a try.

Overall, the concept is intriguing. Mackenzie's cluelessness as to the supernatural world and her own part in it, along with her stalker claiming a destined relationship, hooked me in and I was looking forward to finding out more about all of the characters. 3.5*s but I'm rounding up because it was a pleasant surprise. This book is a kind of blend of UF and PNR. I like both genres so I don't mind the mix. And more importantly to me I liked all the characters introduced here. There's some great banter between all the friends and the secondary characters are interesting in th ...more

MacKenzie is on the run from a crazed stalker that tells her she can change the world. Little does she know that is may be true. She ends up in New Orleans tending bar and comes under the watchful eye of PI Jackson. Shifters, spellcasters and psychics abound. 3 stars

This was a very good book. The characters are very interesting. It had intrigue and suspense and romance. It was the romance that kept this from being a 5 star for me. I felt it was very forced at times and some of the dialogue was really corny. But that's just my opinion and could very well be because of the mindset I am in at the moment. Overall I really enjoyed it and will certainly recommend it and read the next one. ...more
