There is said around that Argentinian and Russian people are similar in the way they are (I do not remember now where I heard it). Not in the cultural ways, but in the ways their minds click and the way they react, call it a similar idiosyncrasy. I felt that was very true with this book. There is a undercurrent that I found very familiar. That feeling of tired frustration, of tolerating a present that is so at complete odds with what the past promised and what the potential should had delivered. ...more
