As with the first three books in Duvall's Aldebarian Alliance series, The Akseli focuses on what happens to one character following a Gathendien attack on the Kandovar. This book's focus is on Simone, an Immortal Guardian, and her time with space pirate, Janwar and those on his ship, the Tangata.

This is so good!!! I wish it were longer. I’ve already read the book AND listened to the audio. The audio is awesome. Dianne Duvall hits another out of the ball park, and Kirsten Potter does another excellent job reading. The description of space, the humor,the spice…..I feel like I was really there during the story as a fly on the wall. I can’t wait for the Aldebarian Alliance stories to continue.
Man this series just gets better and better. I do not understand how Dianne's brain works and it continues to amaze me. I am dying for the next book after that epilogue for damn sure
