Things were done to Maggie then that changed her. She hasn't been able to shift or even really be around wolves for a long time. After the 2 first books in Vivian’s Granite Lake Wolves series, i came to expect a lot from her. I was not disappointed. In this third installment we get to see Keil’s beta, Erik find his mate.
However, Maggie, Missy’s sister, has a dark past and is traumatized, which resulted in her being afraid of being around other wolves and of shifting into her wolf form.

2 1/2 stars for the next in the Granite Lake Wolves series.
I've been following these wolves for two books and two novellas now, and think it's time to finish off the series. I enjoy Arend's style of writing, but did not feel much connection with the heroine of this story, by the name of Maggie. Maggie is Missy's sister, from an earlier book. She's a werewolf afraid of her own kind, due to a traumatic experience she had 7 years ago. She comes off as very weak, both physically and mentally, and s ...more
