I liked the idea of time travel and ghosts added to a standard UF world and Cassandra sounded like a strong heroine. But...
I'm on page 6 and already she's telling telling telling during what should be an action sequence where she's running for her life. Apparently she testified against the mafia and was in witness protection but she left it because she was attacked and she felt she could handle it on her own. Touch the Dark started off a little disjointed. I was getting a tad confused as she described the lay of the land. But by the end, I was eagerly devouring pages. I enjoyed this action-packed read. There were still some areas that needed more development, but overall I thought it was exciting, with engaging characters. I always love vamp politics, and the different power centers of Chance's world promise lots of future confrontation and intrigue.

This was just okay for me. I don't really like Cassie as a character and Mircea weirds me out a bit. I actually liked Tomas but then Ms. Chance threw his character under the bus at the end in a way I totally didn't buy. I like the Pythia mythology and the nod to the Cassandra myth, but I just don't think the time travel is very well done. I've already bought the other books in this series so here's hoping they improve.
